The Babylon Rotary Club (BRC) is a community service organization made up of business and professional men and women. The BRC was founded in 1947 and serves the communities and school districts in Babylon, West Babylon, and North Babylon and West Islip. The BRC adheres to the Rotary International pledge of "Service Above Self."
The BRC meets on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wednesdays of every month for lunch at 12:15 PM and on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM.
The BRC promotes joint meetings twice a year with the Chambers of Commerce in the areas and hamlets we serve.
The Babylon Rotary Club traces its roots to the Babylon Exchange Club and Babylon Service Club. We became the Babylon Rotary Club in 1947, part of Rotary International, the first worldwide service organization, founded by Paul Harris in 1905. Our club is now one of 74 Rotary clubs, with a total membership of about 2000 Rotarians, comprising Rotary International District 7255 which serves Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties in New York. We are an active group of professionals, community and business leaders who are always looking for ways we can help. Babylon Rotary conducts and participates in a wide variety of charitable, humanitarian and vocational projects. Our service area covers all of Babylon Village, West Babylon, North Babylon and West Islip. Our club meets each Wednesday, 12:15 p.m. at Lily Flanagan's Pub, Babylon, NY.
